great, no help...
Yah dude, as long as your BIOS support booting from USB devices, you should be good seeing how most pricey 2003 mobos did it and now it is a given.
One way of making sure you BIOS are capable of booting from a USB device is to navigate to the boot priority and and see if USB device is an option... or searching for something similar in the BIOS about USB booting. Or, you could try the mobo manual or support forums.
After that, have a look at the wiki on a guide how to.
wrong answer?
i yust want to know if i can run the backtrack on an usbstick with the real install bacouse on my pc it wont run and other users still have the same problem so is it possible to run the real install on an usb device or not?

Hi,
checkout:
*forums.remote-exploit.org/archive/index.php/t-6868.html*
I used it and it works on a 4gig usb stick (thx systemic).
Make sure you leave the Live CD in when you chroot to /mnt/sdb1 (or wherever your stick is). I didn't at first and it was a headache.
I found the 'hardest' bit was knowing which items to mark '*' in the make menuconfig GUI. I went a bit over-board at first and marked loads of irrelevant stuff --- 'kernel-panicked'. Just stick to '*'ing drive-related USB and SCSI support items and should be ok.
BTW, I only did a 'real' install to make sure I could and 'cos I thought it would allow me to install more programs but I am pretty new to Slax and it hasn't made much difference from a live install with changes as far as I can tell.
Try the live USB install with changes by Shamen...
