Is it possible to run backtrack on an Android Phone?
I own a Dell Streak and i know its possible to run a VNC server locally on the phone of Debian and connect to a local host on a VNC client. So you can run Debian on the Dell streak. Also the Dell streak has a huge screen which is great. Due to all its features i think it could be a great portable backtrack sniffer.
Does anyone know if it would be possible to boot backtrack in a similar way to Debian and make aircrack, airodump and other sniffing tools work?
Any input would be great.
Thanks.

In short, no.
But start looking into how one would go about getting debian onto an android phone and you can go from there.

Ok, i will look into it in more detail.
Do you happen to know if the dell streak wireless card is capable of running backtrack applications such as airodump, aireplay and wireshark etc?
Thanks for the reply.

I know that Archangel said "In short, NO", and I have yet to see him wrong about anything.... but I still want to believe!
I don't know how to code android apps but I do know that you would need Jruby and Metasploit combined.
Is this a possible solution?

Its sort of a yes/no answer. the real question is why? The chipset cannot inject so aircrack is useless. People have gotten ubuntu going on android phones so I can anly assume backtrack may work but it would be slow as hell, you would need to recompile the kernel for sure, doubtful the thing would make calls. anyway I dont see the point but you can search "android ubuntu install" and give it hell.

I am wrong about a lot of things, but I am good at shifting blame, covering up and denying things. :p
As far as the code above, I don't know and as purehate mentioned it's not really viable. As for metasploit look on their wiki, there are people working on it.
Or at least they were, and one point and time.
But really, I don't see a real point other than the l337 factor that one may gain from it.
Re: Is it possible to run backtrack on an Android Phone?
Trying Debian would be the way to go. There has been a bit of pentesting development for my N900, which runs Maemo (basically debian). aircrack-ng has been ported as well as macchanger and STkeys (speedtouch key algorithm). Assuming your android also has an ARM processor you should be able to use those packages (they are in the maemo-extras, testing, or devel repo).
Re: Is it possible to run backtrack on an Android Phone?
If you do ever get any of the apps to run, it's going to be slooooow. I'd just be happy with kismet support. That would rock! Then I'd have a replacement for these. http://lh3.ggpht.com/_Vipr2jQmnm8/S-...0/IMG_2314.JPG
Re: Is it possible to run backtrack on an Android Phone?
Airodump works quite well on my phone (600 mhz ARM, overclocked to 1 GHZ). Same goes for Kismet. Speaking in terms of performance though, as far as I know the N900's wireless drivers don't support injection yet...
