Deauthenticate XBOX 360 Controller?
Hello all,
I am fairly new to the Linux/Backtrack Scene. I have used it mainly for the wireless pen testing capabilities. So far, I haven't messed around with bluetooth, but plan on doing that soon. Anyways, I was wondering (while on the subject of wireless), is there any way to eavesdrop traffic or deauthenticate an xbox controller. From what I've read, they operate on the 2.4 ghz band and I know there are ways to snoop traffic on a wireless keyboard (I will be trying that out soon too). I can successfully deauth my xbox from my router, but am wondering if I could kick my controller off of my xbox. Is this even possible, or is there some microsoft proprietary protocol being used that airmon/kismet is unaware of?
Sorry to sound newbish, I just like trying new things out...
Thanks in advance.
Re: Deauthenticate XBOX 360 Controller?
Well you can kick of your xbox from your router because its using a wifi standard. I do not know much about the controller however the odds of it using one of the wifi standers is pretty much none. So your not going to be able to use a deauth attack. However you could always try jamming the frequency if you were that serious about it.

All I can say is try it out :) Let us know how it goes!

Nice idea man :)
Disconnect Xbox from router is no problem. And I think it's not a 802.11 wired connection between controller and xbox. I think it's a bluetooth connection (~10m).
I have a look.
