Silly question: Where are "home" and "system" icons ?
Sorry for such a silly question, but I'm a novice in Linux. I have used much time Backtrack 3 and I'm now migrating to Backtrack 4. It took some time to me to find the "startx" command, that I already found. Question now, after searching in the forums is: Where are or how can I put the "HOME" and/or "SYSTEM" direct access icons in the desktop after executing the startx command?
Thanks so much for your help and thanks much more for all your work.
Re: Silly question: Where are "home" and "system" icons ?
Those would be directories of any user/s that would be created. Since BT is designed to be run as root there is no "HOME" directory. roots "home" is /
If you want to create a link to that on the desktop there are plenty of guides on the internet for doing so.

Thanks for so fast answering my question. I already accepted it was somehow a silly question and I was a newbie to Linux.
I'll try further... and try to learn
