dual internal nic
hi im new here but i do know a little bit about backtrack and i was wondering how i would be able to run 2 wifi cards. one is for internet the other is to test. but i would like to be able to connect to multiple connections since i have 2 internet providers hooked up at my shop. the only problem wicd is only letting me use 1 card at a time. is there any other way i could do this? im using an atheros 5k and a broadcom 43 series for the 2 cards with seperate antennas on each of them. any ideas are more than welcome.
Welcome to the forums.
Re-read the rules that you agreed to when you signed up. Also see the "stickied" threads at the top of the newbie section.
Also don't be afraid to search for yourself both here on the forums and google.
These things will make your stay more pleasant.
Furthermore post in the correct section! Not in the bugs and fixes section.
BackTrack 4 Bugs and Fixes Post bugs here. Even better, post FIXES here !
I've run six wifi cards on one machine once, four internal, two external usb, so I don't think you'll have a problem with two.
could you give me some pointers on how to do that?
Use the command line and not wicd. Use Google and the forum search facilities to find out how...
