Lost the BackTrack KDE Menu
Hello. I seem to have lost the BackTrack menu within KDE. I attempted to move the entire menu under the "Internet" menu, so it would show up when using Unity.
That didn't work, however, and now the menu seems to be gone completely. I looked around the forums and have done some general web searches to try and figure this out. The closest I've come is being able to install Gnome and use an XML file to rebuild the BackTrack menu within Gnome, but that's a lot more than I want to deal with right now.
Additionally, I have installed some scanning products and other stuff and would really like to avoid reinstalling this instance of BT.
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Re: Lost the BackTrack KDE Menu
So I solved this issue through another post by lupin about creating a new user in BackTrack. The solution is to perform the following:
cp /etc/skel/.config/menus/applications-kmenuedit.menu ~/.config/menus
This will overwrite your user's menu with the default one from /etc/skel. I performed it, logged out of/into X and everything was back in its correct place.
Thanks lupin!
