Updating/Upgrading Problems
Hello. I am having a hard time upgrading. I run sudo apt-get update and I get this:
Get:1 mirrors.kernel.org sid Release.gpg [835B]
Ign mirrors.kernel.org sid/main Translation-en_US
Get:2 mirrors.kernel.org sid Release [104kB]

When I try apt-get install, I get this:
sudo apt-get upgrade

Building dependency tree

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc-dev-bin: Depends: libc6 (> 2.10) but 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu9 is installed
Recommends: manpages-dev but it is not installed
libc6-dev: Depends: libc6 (= 2.10.2-6) but 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu9 is installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try using -f.
Trying apt-get -f install doesn't work. Trying to upgrade from root doesn't work.
Trying apt-get install libc6 results in this:

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc6: Depends: libc-bin (= 2.10.2-6) but it is not going to be installed
libc6-i686: PreDepends: libc6 (= 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu9) but 2.10.2-6 is to be installed
E: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).
And finally, completing the loop, apt-get install libc-bin results in:

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libc-bin: Breaks: libc6 (< 2.10) but 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu9 is to be installed
libc-dev-bin: Depends: libc6 (> 2.10) but 2.8~20080505-0ubuntu9 is to be installed

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Re: Updating/Upgrading Problems
what repositories do you have in your source list? This is what it should look like.
# apt-get update
Code:

In /etc/apt/source.list
Code:
deb http://archive.offensive-security.com pwnsauce main microverse macroverse restricted universe multiverse
Re: Updating/Upgrading Problems
Is this happening from an install of BT4 Final?
Re: Updating/Upgrading Problems
Yes it is an hdd install.
This is what my source list looks like:
deb SUN Backtrack Linux Repository pwnsauce main microverse macroverse restricted universe multiverse
# deb Index of /repotest ./ # BackTrack Devel Repository
deb Index of /ubuntu intrepid main multiverse restricted universe
deb-src Index of /ubuntu intrepid main multiverse restricted universe #Added by software-properties
deb Index of /debian/ sid main
Tried adding that line and I get the error again.
Here is the full output:

Re: Updating/Upgrading Problems
Please make use of some of the post formatting features in future in order to avoid command output or file contents from blending into the rest of your post or getting linkified. Code boxes for example...

Code boxes are great!
Re: Updating/Upgrading Problems
Adding extra repos is not supported, and will result in these type of errors, which is why we say over and over that it is not supported.
Re: Updating/Upgrading Problems
Sorry about the code boxes.
And pure, I have no idea what you just said.

Then allow me to explain You have repositories in your sources.list that are not apart of BT. That means we can no longer support your problem.
Now if that does not make sense I suggest you start searching on google for more info.
