WG111v2 usb adapter, fails to connect..help

Need desperatly help, I just can`t seem to get any connection with my router.

Runnig Vmware (windows vista) then BackTrack4 prefinal.iso
All this seem to work great, but as said I need help so I can connect to the router.

Typing: airmon-ng

interface chipset driver
wlan0 RTL8187 rtl8187-[ph0]

is what i get??
Have tried: ifconfig wlan0 up (didn`t work)

Please give me some info on how (what) to do to connect.
And I have being searching aroud .....but no luck.:(

Do some search first on this forum, then you will have more luck.

If you run BT inside a VM you can only use USB wireless adapters.

I have searched and searched, but havent find any solutions to my problem.

Yup I`m using WG111v2 usb wiereless adapter.

Any suggestion what I could try to connect?
