I cannot perform any PenTest's in BT4-Beta with A BCM4312. Why is this???
Hi Guys...
I am running BT4-Beta from a .iso Image in a VirtualBox OSE Virtual Machine Inside Ubuntu 9.04.
But I am having trouble configuring BT4-Beta to recognise my WLAN card and perform any PenTests!.
Strangely, I can surf the web after using the '/etc/init.d/networking start' Command.
So I know that my WLAN card is listening!!
I have a Broadcom BCM4312 802.11b/g WLAN Card.
Here is the output from 'lshw -C network' (Ran from inside ubuntu)
(NOT In VirtualBox OSE!!)
To show my WLAN adapter I have on my Laptop::-
*-network
description: Wireless interface
product: BCM4312 802.11b/g
vendor: Broadcom Corporation
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:04:00.0
logical name: eth1
version: 01
serial: 00:24:2b:70:48:b4
width: 64 bits
clock: 33MHz
capabilities: bus_master cap_list ethernet physical wireless
configuration: broadcast=yes driver=wl0 driverversion=5.10.79.10 ip=192.168.0.2 latency=0 module=wl multicast=yes wireless=IEEE 802.11
But if I run 'iwconfig' in BT4-Beta running inside VirtualBox OSE Virtual Machine, I get this output:
lo no wireless device
eth0 no wireless device
eth1 no wireless device
What can I do to rectify this. I would appreciate any help on this please!!
Cheers in advance...
