xorg.conf gui editor
displayconfig-gtk is obsoleted. it is inconveneint to manually change that file to specify a monitor and change resolutions every time you boot a live cd. i might make a script that will do this once i learn how. also it doesnt detect my nv drivers so when it goes to sleep the mouse cursor dissappears.

you still got vim and /etc/X11/xorg.conf. You also got Google and Ubuntu forums for configuring X. This forum is for discussing BackTrack (ie, PenTesting), not basic linux knowledge or X server configs.

If you have a nvidia card you can install nvidia-settings and have all the GUI you want.
