Google Chrome closes after 5 seconds

I just installed Google Chrome using the sudo dpkg -i [googlechrome.deb]
It installed succesfully, it loaded an icon in the Internet Menu... but when I open it, it closes after like 5 seconds, not sure why :\

We dont support installing chrome as its still pretty much beta for linux.

Ah, thanks. Are you able to show me how to uninstall it?

I used the dpkg --remove and --purge and its removed from dpkg -l | grep google
but in the Internet Menu, its still there. I've tried to edit the menu, remove the item, and save it. But it doesn't save for some reason. It comes right back
