BT4 in vmware fusion w/ alfa card probs
Hey guys,
I used the bt4 vmware image and set it up in vmware fusion 3.0.2. But my alfa usb wireless adapter (AWUS036H) doesn't show up. Not quite sure what to do. I've tried /etc/init.d/networking start but it fails to it (wlan0) up. To confirm that the adapter is working i tried it on BT3 on a pc and it does work. I must be missing something rather simple.
Any ideas/suggestions?

my first three questions are this:
what is your host os? is it using the awus036h? if so, you'll have to 'release' it before proceeding with the next;
did you pass the device through vmware to your guest (bt4)?
answer me these, and i may be able to help you further.

I believe VMware Fusion is the Mac version of VMware Player. I'm not sure, though.

Thanks guys. I figured it out! Something veeeery increeeedibly stupid (i didn't pass it through to my guest). I'm used to running BT3 via usb on a pc with a proxim card (that died a couple months ago) so I'm fairly new to vmware, but thus far enjoying my new setup!
