When I boot into backtrack (3) off of a live cd, I go to /mnt/sda1 not (/mnt/live/mnt or whatever it is) and there aren't any of my windows files! and they aren't in any of the other 3 /mnt folders. WHERE DID MY WINDOWS FILES GO?!?

Look in the root folder on your desktop
It is possible that your windows partition was not automatically mounted due to one reason or another. You could try to mount it manually, use the search function to find the appropriate commands.Quote:

It wasn't under media either. I'll try to mount it myself
Become root
fdisk -l <-- gives you all partitions on all drives
mount <-- gives you what's mounted
Look at disks/partitions for the one thats the right size, then look in the results of 'mount' to see if its mounted
