getting AWUS036NH to work in BT4

I just got my new AWUS036NH wireless adapter in last night and have not been successful in setting it up to work in Backtrack 4.

I used the post at [SOLVED] Getting AWUS036NH to work with Ubuntu 9.10 - Ubuntu Forums to help me get set up in Ubuntu 9.10, but when I used the same directions in BT4 it didn't seem to work. To be more specific I couldn't see any access points in WICD on the desktop.

Does anyone know how to set up this wireless adapter to work in BT4?:confused:

I had the one I have work "fine," outside of having problems with it being detected as an RT2870, instead of an RT3070. Other then that, it was slow as hell for scanning for networks. The standard driver doesn't work for injection either.

You'd be better off getting the AWUS036H instead.

Did you start wicd? /etc/init.d/wicd start
