Using already setup hardisk partion to run backtrack 4
I am in some need of guidance on how to install backtrack 4 to a already setup partion on my hard disk drive. I formated the partion and put in my live cd bt4 and went to the install.sh icon and began my installation. when i got to the partion part of the installation it said theat it had to erase the whole hard drive in order for it to setup bt4. i have recently installed windows seven and upgraded from vista. I do not want to erase my hard drive.
Any Help? Suggestions, Questions, Comments?
Any help is appriciated.:)
Re: Using already setup hardisk partion to run backtrack 4
how many primary partitions do you have on your hard disk ?!
if you have 4 primary partitions and some free space then the free space you have is of no use since you can only have a maximum of 4 primary partitions on one HDD.

Just click the advanced tab at that point of the installer and manually set up the partitions however you want.

hey, the advanced setup is the choice for you just one question ,,,, You have used ubuntu before haven't you?
Check ubiquity documentation from the launchpad.
