Mobility HD 4200 no screens found

So i was using backtrack before on my laptop and everything worked perfectly, except the laptop was old and big.

So i decided to get a new laptop, this has a ATi Mobility HD 4200. When i try starting backtrack and start X
it says
No screens found

i already tried Xorg -configure
and using the new config it created it never went to the backtrack main screen, only a X cursor and a black and white screen.
Trying Xconf says command not found

ive tried every mode there is on the disk, and looked around on the internet for solutions.

Is there a way to get this working?

Have you tried "fix-vesa"? If that doesn't work, you can try this.
