nslookup: error while loading shared libraries: libbind9.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

i'm new to linux so please just need directions , and i don't know what caused this

Cannot Open Most Applications
HI i am having issues when trying to open pretty much most of the applications, a shell window appears and then closes, no error message, nothing, any advice appreciated.
