ISO Image ALFA-AWUS036H

I have successfully got this card to work in the pre-built VMware image i downloaded, but when i made my own installation from the iso file it will not pick up any Access Points. Power is correct but i have no signal.

Also i have no iwpriv settings either.

How can they be so different from one another...

The prebuilt VM doesnt even use mon0 and it has iwpriv features bit the ISO is automatically the right settings, uses mon0 etc but has no signal.

Im assuming you guys used the iso to make the pre built vm?

Which version of vmware are you using? Seems to make a difference for me. The VM's from the download area will only work in 6.5 and 7, however 6.5 has issues with the rtl8187 driver. (or something. all I can say is there are problems). I had good luck creating a VM from the final iso using vmware 6.05, not 6.5.

Im using vmware 7.0, it should be fine.

The pre built vmware download works but doesnt create mon0 and it also allows me to iwpriv

The iso creates mon0, has correct power setting (27db) but doesnt see any APs, has no signal and i cant iwpriv
