Sorry to say that but these forums are not for linux related problems try not to ask similar questions in the future :cool:

the best way to install your drivers is to read the readme files that come with them:rolleyes:

these forums are for backtrack??then what should we type sex or porno!!What alihadi most likely is referring to is that your question isn’t directly related to BackTrack, but more of a general Linux question. An endless amount of information on how to use .tar files can easily be found using the search engine of your choice.

I think that wouldn't be the correct search tags :D

What?! What the hell are you going on about? Don't be giving out stupid advice like that, especially when it is the very opposite of the truth. Or have I gone completely insane and BT is now a windows subsidiary? Donk....

To answer your question(s), no you cannot "install" drivers onto the LiveCD. You can reburn it with whatever you want included, but that is not necessary as BT3F already comes with both of the drivers that the Intel 3945 uses (normal and injection).

The commands you want are as follows:

modprobe -r iwl3945 (this will unload standard drivers)
modprobe ipwraw (this will load ipwraw for packet injection)

Once you are done with using injection do:

modprobe -r ipwraw (to unload packet injection)
modprobe iwl3945 (to load the standard drivers)

Here you go: link (http://www.google.com) removed

Please don't point people to other forums, as the information he's looking for is plastered all over this one. Thanks....

I've used the search but didn't find the code i wantet him to know:

source=iwl3945,wifi0,Intel
Therefore i wanted to give him the right source.
Well, doesn't matter anymore, hope we helped him to solve his problem.

edit: argh i wanted to look out for a new signature , will do in a few hours after work. :)

Did you check the md5? did you not use a download manager? Did you burn at slowest possible speed? Does it work in another computer?
