Does anyone know of a way of locking down KDE without a screensaver?

I'm using BT3 to display a server status page on a plasma screen.

Obviously I don't want a screensaver to kick in, or we won't be able to see the data, but I'd still like to lock the pc down incase the cleaners etc decide to poke around while we're out to lunch.

Currently the pc in question is in a locked drawer, but I'd prefer a software solution.

I found a screensaver (On kde-look.org : Translucent Dreams) which claims to just make the desktop slightly translucent, but I can't get it to compile. Probably because of Qt.
..But I don't think this would work anyway, as most screensavers just do a screen capture then play with it, leaving the display static.

Anyway, I'm open to suggestion! :-)
