Ok, so I have the BT3Final.iso and the tools on it are awesome. But how would I be able to update the tools to the latest version on the ISO so i can reburn the iso for a live CD for my laptop?

For example: Take the BT3Final.iso with MDK3 v3 and put MDK3 v4 on the ISO instead of v3.

I have no idea how to compile a linux distribution so I'm kind of in the dark.

You can do it simply using modules. These threads may help you.
