Derbycon 2011 : BackTrack Linux – Penetration Testing Distribution

Derbycon 2011

We are proud to announce that the BackTrack Team will be sponsors of DerbyCon, a new face in security conferences. DerbyCon’s goal is to bring back an old style, community driven hacker con where we can all share our ideas and come together in an open forum. This idea and mindset is the same in our beliefs in BackTrack. The security industry was built on openness and coming together with like-minded individuals. Regardless if you know Linux, or how to program, or if your someone with a name, the goal of DerbyCon is to promote learning and strengthening the community.

The idea came from a desire to see more of the old style talks and events of the cons of the past. We worked with a number of some of the industries brightest minds and already have a stacked lineup for the conference. We are looking for additional talks and call for papers has gone live today. Be sure to submit your talk if you have something you want to share and it’s cutting-edge and high-speed. For information on how to submit go to
